Community Program

Objectives

In line with the main conference theme, the Community Program envisages to achieve following main objectives on ICASA 2011:

• Make good use of community actions
• Strengthen the consultation between actors and partners of the community response;
• Create for a framework for exchange of ideas and experiences on the contribution of the civil society to the response on the epidemic
• Enhance the capacity and skills of community actors
• Set-up consultation and exchange opportunities among actors (government, researchers, development partners, donors, grassroots, etc.)
• Provide space for key actors in HIV response (FBOs and key affected populations)
• Ensure commitment of FBOs and MARPs in endeavors to scale up and sustain interventions
• Come-up with clear commitments and actions for policy and strategy for HIV response
