Satellite Sessions
There will be approximately 50 Satellite Sessions taking place starting December 3rd to December 8th; the se sessions will take place between
- Early morning between 7:00 and 8:00 and;
- Late afternoon between 17:30 and to 20:00
Plenary Sessions
The plenary sessions will address the main themes of the Conference with 3 speakers and 2 chairpersons. They will review the state of research and action on major topics related to the HIV/AIDS, STI, TB and malaria epidemics. There will be 4 presentation s each day; a total 16 of during the conference.
Non Abstract Driven Session
The non‐abstract driven sessions include round table discussions, debates and more. It revolves around 3 main themes:
- Scientific: Approximately 13 sessions
- Leadership: Approximately 15 sessions
- Community: Approximately 12 sessions
Oral Abstract Sessions
There will be a total of 52 oral abstract sessions.
VISA
Holders of diplomatic, service, AU, UN and ADB passports and Kenyan and Djiboutian citizens will not be required visas to enter Ethiopia.
Delegates coming from countries where there are Ethiopian Embassies need to have a visa before they depart their country.
Delegates coming from countries where there are no Ethiopian Embassies can get visas on arrival at Bole International Airport but they need to have an official invitation letter and a passport valid for six months with two blank spaces. Visas will be granted against the payment of either USD 20 or 17 Euros. No other currencies will be accepted.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Prior to entry, visitors should be in possession of a valid health certificate for yellow fever. Vaccination against cholera is al so required for any person who has visited or transited a cholera‐infected area within six days prior to arrival in Ethiopia.

There will be approximately 34 workshops during the conference; these smaller interactive workshops will take place concurrently in the afternoons.

The Community Village is a space for organizations, community based institutions and practitioners to share their experience, display their work and learn from each other.
Side meetings
ICASA 2011 will assist donor and partner organizations to hold special closed meetings.

HOTEL AND CONFERENCE TRANSPORTATION
ICASA 2011 will manage the air port transfer for all delegates, using the ICASA 2011 Travel and Housing Management Site, to ensure quick and easy transportation between airport and hotel.
In addition, ICASA 2011 will provide transportation between the hotels and the Millennium Hall Conference Center throughout ICASA 2 011.
